WHAT IS TRANSPORT VIBRATION SIMULATION TESTING?

As one important part of the packaging test, the transportation simulation test is to simulate the transport vibration environment in the laboratory, to evaluate the behavior of packaging with content when subjected to vibration or shock relative to the distribution cycle. 


Transportation testing also determines the life cycles of packaging under particular field conditions. Transport simulation testing help improve the packaging design and validate the packaging capabilities.

What's the difference between KRD50 & KRD51?

KRD50 series transportation simulation test system

KRD50 series transportation simulation test system replaces the actual vehicle running test, and the actual vehicle running is moved to the laboratory for testing. The simulation conditions are: a random vibration environment generated when the vehicle is traveling at a speed of 20-60km/h on a medium-level pavement of a third-level or fourth-level highway. The test equipment can assess the adaptability of the product under the packaging or unpacking, withstand the vibration of vehicle transportation and evaluate the structural integrity.

KRD51 series bounce testing machine

KRD51 series bounce testing machine simulates the constant loose cargo state during truck transport. Often times, containers carrying military and civilian hardware (such as: medical supplies, electronics, weaponry, communication devices) travel for extended periods of time and must be transported off-road. All of these items must maintain functionality upon arrival at their destinations. This machine complies to ISTA and ASTM standards.

Fixed 25.4mm displacement according to ISTA-1A,1B,1C,1D,2A,2B & ASTM-D999.

How to select a correct reference standard?

The International Safe Transit Association (ISTA) developed a civilian package test procedure resembling the military test: 1A for products weighing less than 150 lb (68 kg) and 1B for over 150 lb (68 kg). Additional tests in subsequent procedures such as 1C, 1D, 2A and further combine the loose cargo basic test with atmospheric conditioning and other factors.

What's the maximum load of your transport simulation system?

Standard product up to 2000kg, but we can customize the system according to your requirements.

What's the difference between ASTM & ISTA standards?

Cost: ISTA is lower cost

Test time: ISTA requires less test time

Testing Equipment: Older equipment can perform the tests by ISTA, Equipment costs less than with ASTM
