What is transportation test?

When goods under transportation by road, rail, sea or air, they may affect by complicated environments include vibration, drop or shock, temperature, loose cargo or bounce, as well as other dynamic environments. Transportation test simulating these environments in laboratory, the products are usually tested under packed state, therefore, we also call it packaging test.

Why should we do transportation & packaging tests?

During the product/packaging design phase, through the transportation and packaging testing, engineers are able to check whether the product/packaging is qualified, whether the product is over packaging or less packaging. As a result, we can reduce costs by optimizing the product + packaging system. The purposes are:

– Packaging cost reduction

– Product/packaging qualification

– Logistics damage/loss reduction

– Severe environments evaluation

– Customer impression improvement

What standards should we refer to?

  • Packaging tests according to international standards, such as:

How a transportation & packaging test is performed?

CME offers the reliability test equipment for doing the following tests:

  • Vibration Test
  • Shock Test
  • Drop Test
  • Compression Test
  • Clamping Force Test
