What Are the Precautions for Using a Vibration Shaker Table?

Vibration shaker table simulates vibration environment under test conditions and tests the impact strength and reliability in various vibration test application areas. In the laboratory, the vibration shaker table system can simulate and reproduce patterns such as sine, random, resonance search and in-place, typical impact, and road simulation. This is essential for product quality assurance and new product development.


Vibration shaker table is specially designed for long-term work and can be equipped with seismic base to achieve vertical and horizontal vibration. The standard table is equipped with an efficient pneumatic isolation shock device, which minimizes the vibration transmitted to the building while in most cases does not require a foundation. The vibrating shaker table, power amplifier, and vibration measurement and control system constitute a complete vibration testing system according to relevant national and international standards.


Check the vibration shaker table equipment


  • Check the position of the isolation mechanism and make sure the magnetic steel of the vibrating shaker table is in a reasonable position;

  • Check if the signal excitation output line of the controller is reliably connected;

  • If conducting a horizontal test, follow the relevant contents in the equipment manual to flip the table to a horizontal state and perform corresponding checks.


Install the vibration shaker table specimen


  • Turn on the air pump and manually adjust the pressure of the center airbag to the center position;

  • The installation of the fixture and the vibrating shaker table specimen must strictly follow the requirements of the test task;

  • The installation of the sensors in the control room must strictly follow the requirements of the test task and be used for the designated purpose;

  • Connect the sensors to the control instrument channels specified in the test task with the corresponding signal wires;


Operational precautions


  • Before turning on the equipment, ensure that the table, control cabinet, and junction box are reliably grounded.

  • When turning on the main power switch of the operation panel, be careful and make sure that the power supply line is correctly connected and whether it is a 220V or 380V voltage. The internal wiring method cannot be arbitrarily changed or disconnected.

  • During operation, keep the table clean and free of debris, especially iron filings, otherwise the table may experience special situations during operation.

  • The test piece must be rigidly mounted on the test table, otherwise resonance and waveform distortion may occur, affecting the test results, and the test piece cannot be removed during vibration testing.

  • Start the oil pump, and when the motor star-delta is converted without any other abnormal sounds, proceed to the next step.

  • Before starting the machine, read the instruction manual carefully, master the operating essentials, be familiar with system settings and software applications, understand the positions and functions of various switches, buttons, and indicators.

  • The test specimen and fixture must be reliably fixed on the working table. The fixing screws must be equipped with anti-loosening washers, and the center of gravity of the test piece should be as close to the center of the table as possible.

  • Before starting the machine, the oil cooler on the oil tank should be powered and watered.

  • If any abnormal phenomena occur during the test, stop the machine for inspection until the problem is resolved to avoid equipment damage.

  • Do not touch the sensors while the system is running.


Vibration shaker tables are applicable to various industries' laboratories and production lines for conducting relevant vibration tests on samples of auto parts, electronic components, modules, medicine, food, furniture, gifts, ceramics, packaging, etc. It simulates the vibration environment that the product may undergo in the manufacturing, assembly, transportation, and use processes to evaluate its structural durability, reliability, and integrity.
